Christoph Lehner was born in Regensburg and studied English and Romance languages, philosophy and history of art in Regensburg, Pisa, Florence and Cambridge. Besides he graduated from Munich’s Freie Musikzentrum where he studied jazz saxophone with Till Martin at the institute’s jazz project. He continued to hone his musical skills taking lessons and attending workshops and masterclasses with Greg Fishman, Rick Margitza and Tony Lakatos.
He was repeatedly awarded for his multilingual writings in prose and verse, among others he was awarded the prize for best lyric poetry by the Tuscan poets‘ association Chianti Fiorentino. He writes lyrics, composes and performs with the Munich-based trio Note Azure and has started a jazz quintet under his own name in 2021.
